I Will Survive back in school

To mark Pink Dot and the start of the new school term, we are giving out 20 signed copies of I Will Survive: Personal gay, lesbian, bisexual & transgender stories in Singapore.

Who can get a copy?

It’s important for educators and young people, regardless of their sexual orientation and gender identity, to be aware of the issues faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual & transgender people in Singapore.

So if you’re a full-time teacher or school counsellor at a local school under the Ministry of Education; or a student of a local secondary school, junior college, ITE or polytechnic, you’re welcome to collect a free copy of the book.

We only ask that you provide proof of identity so that we know you’re a teacher, school counsellor or student.

When can I collect my copy?

On 29 June 2013, Saturday, from 5pm – 7pm, on a first-come-first-served basis.

Where do I go?

At Pink Dot on Hong Lim Park, go to the Community Tent, look for the Pelangi Pride Centre booth & ask the friendly volunteers there.

Anything else I need to know?

Enjoy Pink Dot while you’re there, and please tell your friends, colleagues and family members about the book after you’ve read it!

  1. hi, is it possible that i can get a personal copy myself? but im not a teacher, counsellor or student, i just grad from uni though.

  2. Hi!

I’m a JC2 student at Serangoon JC. Would it be possible for me to reserve a copy of the book, please? It’ll be my first time at Pink Dot and I’m not confident of finding your booth before everything is snapped up!

I’ve already spoken with my librarian, and she’s agreed to process the book and put it up for anyone to loan out. It’ll probably be displayed with all other popular reads at the counter!

I understand that you need identification, so I’m willing to email you a picture of my student ezlink card!

    Thank you. 🙂

    1. hi there!

can I trouble you to email me directly through the contact page, providing me your details, please?

I’d like to be in touch with you directly, & arrange for a copy to be sent directly to your school librarian (free of charge).

      thanks,
